Halloween’s my favorite holiday, so I may have gone a bit overboard on this one- here’s the first and probably only “Best Things: 100% Spooky Edition!” (With one non-spooky activity, because c’mon, give it a rest after October 31st, Jessica.)

You can keep your St. Patrick’s Day Parade- the Halloween Parade is the best gatdam parade in this city. Get there early enough to do the walk up on the parade route (wear a costume, ya knucklehead) so you don’t have to stand shivering in the chill while you’re gawking at all the amazing costumes.

Dance tunes from the 80’s? I know what to expect! What, it’s dance tunes popular in the Soviet Union? Now that’s something new! I have no idea what you’ll hear on the dance floor, but I bet it’ll be dance-worthy and the costumes will be out of sight. повеселись!

At this multimedia event, you’ll enjoy a visual anthology of 24 short stories featured in a 12-minute film that draws its inspiration from an ancient melody. Then enjoy a concert featuring members of Ensemble Leonarda as they interpret the works of the various composers who were inspired by this tune. How is this Halloween-related? Well, Halloween’s over, kids! Give it a rest!
